VOCM Block the Bus
In Support of the Single Parent Association of NL Back to School Program.
From July 25-August 19 VOCM’s Block the Bus raised funds to provide school supplies for youth and families in need. During July and August the Village Shopping Centre had 5 donation bins located inside the Village Shopping Centre to drop off school supplies. The final day of the fundraiser, August 19th the Bus will be located in the Village Shopping Centre parking lot and many individuals stopped by to block the bus for children from all over our province. The fundraiser was a success, the bus was BLOCKED! 22, 000 supplies was gathered and 670 kids received book bags with grade apporitoate school supplies. We look forward to next years Block the Bus event to help support our single parent families!
