Christmas Magic Program
In partnership with many local businesses, organizations and individuals, SPAN provides many single parent families with support during Christmas by supplying food and gifts.
*Christmas Magic will begin seeking Family Sponsorships & Donations the end of October 2023*
Make a donation!
We need your support and commitment to give children of single parent families a magical holiday experience.
The funds of your donation will contribute to providing gifts for children as well as ensuring support for families to have the necessities they need for Christmas dinner.
Your donation will have a huge impact on single parent families from across our province.
Want to Sponsor a Family ?
Sponsoring a family is very rewarding, fun and a great way to get into the spirit of the holidays.
- Family Sponsorship Package includes providing gifts on a child/children’s wish list, a grocery store gift card, and an optional gift for the parent if you wish.
- Contact us by phone or email with your desired family size or budget. {Families can range from a family of 2 (parent and child) to a family of 5) – Budgets range from $275-$900}
- Once we have confirmed your commitment and contribution to the Christmas Magic program, you will be matched with a family accordingly.
- You will then receive a “Wish List” email, providing further information regarding the family you will sponsor.
We ask that donations be delivered to our office at 472 Logy Bay Road the first week of December if possible.

Gift Card Donations
One of the most popular in-demand gifts this Christmas, is gift cards. Gift cards are not only a great gift, but can also empower single parent moms and dads with the opportunity to go Christmas shopping for their family.
Gift cards allows the organization to utilize the donation in a variety of ways that will benefit our Christmas Magic Program.
Suggested gift cards to help support families for Christmas, Walmart, Avalon Mall, Game Stop, Toys “R” Us, Mastermind Toys and any grocery store gift card.
In Kind Donations
SPAN is seeking donations of new toys, Christmas pajamas, or Christmas stockings for children ranging from infants to 18 years old. With your help we can spread Christmas Magic to as many families as possible.
If you would like to make a gift card or in kind donation, you can drop off at our office, 472 Logy Bay Road.

Closed Single Parent Christmas Magic Registration 2022
Registration is open Monday October 3 2022, 9am
First time registrants, please contact us for information.
Single parents may register by email span@spanl.ca
- provided that they have used at least one of SPAN’s services in the last year: (1) Completed the SESP program in the last year, (2) Used the previous year’s Christmas program, (3) Used the most recent Back to School program or (4) Used the SPAN food bank in the last year.
Email the following information:
- Your name, phone #, MCP #
- Your children’s names, gender, age.
- What services you have used in the last year
You will receive a registration confirmation email once registered. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding as we go through this process.
