Collaboration in caring
Everything SPANL provides in support of single parents is thanks to the exceptional support of our government partners. Without their financial support, we would not be able to offer these much-needed services in our community.

Government of Newfoundland and Labrador
SPANL is thankful to this branch of government for an annual grant that enables us to carry on the work of the Association!
Department of Children, Seniors & Social Development
SPANL receives an annual grant ($20,000) from this branch of government.
Department of Advanced Education, Skills & Labour
The Single Parent Employment Support Program (SESP) which was funded initially as a Pilot Project in 1998 is an ongoing program with the Department of Advanced Education and Skills. Since it’s beginning SESP has helped approximately 1900 single parents re-enter the work force finding gainful employment. This is a 90% success rate of single parents that have registered for the course and were successful in obtaining employment.
