SPAN’S Board of Directors is comprised of volunteer members.

STAFF - SPAN
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Is responsible for:
- The day to day running of the organization
- Crisis intervention
- Information and referral services
PROJECT COORDINATOR
Is responsible for:
- The implementation of a number of projects, such as Christmas supports, Back to School, Prom Dreams, etc.
MANAGER & ASSISTANT MANAGER – FOOD AND CLOTHING OUTLET
Is responsible for:
- The day to day running of the Outlet
- Preparing food hampers
- Keeping records in accordance with the guidelines from the Community Food Sharing Association
- Managing volunteer workers
SINGLE PARENT EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT PROGRAM (SESP)
COORDINATOR
Is responsible for:
- The overall operation of the program
- Planning and strategy sessions with various government personnel
- Involved in the actual implementation of the program
EMPLOYMENT SERVICES OFFICERS
Are responsible for:
- Teaching classroom sessions on job readiness training
- Assisting each client to find employment
- Providing job search assistance until the client is no longer eligible for the program
SUPPORT STAFF:
Are responsible for:
- Reception
- Telephone inquiries
- Typing, copying and other necessary work, much of it involving updating cover letters and resumes for clients
VOLUNTEERS
SPAN is incredibly thankful and appreciative to its many volunteer who contribute daily to the operations and success of the organization.
SPAN has a number of volunteer opportunities available. These positions include assisting in the daily activities at our Food and Clothing outlet, supporting our ongoing projects and hosting peer support group meetings
